SUN-DT at 13th Conference of the EU Research and Innovation Framework Programme in Spain
The SUN-DT project was presented at the poster exhibition of the 13th Conference of the EU Research and Innovation Framework Programme in Spain, held on 16 June 2026 at the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya in Barcelona.
The conference was organised by CDTI (Centre for Technological Development and Innovation), in collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the European Commission, and Acció. Under the theme “Between Two Programmes: Horizon Europe“, the event was designed to support Spanish entities in improving their participation in EU calls for proposals and strengthening their positioning within the European research and innovation landscape.
The dedicated poster exhibition brought together EU-funded projects coordinated by Spanish entities. CENER, as the coordinator of the SUN-DT project, had the opportunity to introduce the project’s ambition to revolutionise Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) tower plants through the integration of advanced digital tools, Artificial Intelligence (AI), predictive analytics, Digital Twins, smart energy management systems, and predictive maintenance strategies.
By participating in this conference, SUN-DT strengthened its visibility within the Spanish and European research and innovation ecosystem and reinforced its commitment to supporting the clean energy transition through innovative digital solutions for CSP technology.
