SUN-DT at GENERA 2025 | Digitalisation and AI in Solar Thermal Technologies
On 19 November 2025, SUN-DT project partners took center stage during the session “Digitalisation and artificial intelligence in solar thermal technologies”, organised by IMDEA Energy at GENERA 2025.
This session brought together leading experts to share insights into how digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI) are driving innovation across key areas of solar thermal technologies, including system performance, predictive maintenance, characterisation methodologies, communications, design of new materials, and creation of digital twins.
The panel discussion featured contributions from European initiatives advancing digitalisation in solar thermal systems, namely the SUN-DT Project and the DIGISOLAR project, both launched in 2025.
